Club Documents

If an injury is sustained in training, competing or travelling, to or from training or at organised regattas,  the paddler MUST inform the coach and a committee member immediately.  Regarding injury, the AOCRA form F118 must be completed in full and given to the coach or committee member, who will then immediately pass it on to NQ Zone Secretary within 7 days.  Failure to follow this process may result in insurance being refused.

Incident Report Form (F118 Form)

One of the more common injuries for outriggers in tropical areas are Jellyfish stings. This is why in summer months or when the signs are posted on the beaches we were stinger protection. The Australian Resuscitation Council provides guidelines for the first aid treatment of Jellyfish stings (Link takes you to there first aid guidelines for Jellyfish Envenomation). This is useful information for any paddler in tropical waters and all of our Club members should at least be aware of the guidelines.

In the case of canoe damage or liability (this includes OC6, OC4, OC2 and OC1) an Incident Report must be lodged immediately with the Club who will then lodge it immediately with the NQ Zone Secretary.  Failure to report damage or liability may result in loss of insurance.

New members to Magnetic Island Outriggers need to fill in all forms contained in the new members forms link.
